Vacancies earmarked for Direct Recruitment should also be available to the Railway Magistrates who are desirous of applying for such posts and who also fulfill the prescribed qualification for the direct recruits.

வயது வரம்பு: 18 வயது பூர்த்தி அடைந்தவராகவும் 35 வயதுக்கு மேற்படாதவராகவும் இருத்தல் வேண்டும்.
வயது தளர்வு: SC/ ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD (Gen/ EWS) – 10 years, PwBD (SC/ ST) – 15 years, PwBD (OBC) – 13 years
விண்ணப்ப கட்டணம்:
SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Transgender, Minorities or Economically Backward Class (EBC) உள்ளிட்ட பிரிவினருக்கு விண்ணப்ப கட்டணம் ரூ.250 ஆகும். இவர்கள் Computer Based Test எழுதிய பிறகு முழு தேர்வு கட்டணமும் திருப்பி அளிக்கப்படும்.
மற்ற பிரிவினருக்கு விண்ணப்ப கட்டணம் ரூ.500 ஆகும். Computer Based Test எழுதிய பிறகு ரூ.400 திருப்பி அளிக்கப்படும்.
